Our garden is doing great. My daughter and I have been busy planting, watering, and watching it grow. She enjoys the time playing in the dirt, digging holes, watering plants, and anything else she can get into. Most days now we walk outside and I hear ‘Daddy! Another flower has bloomed!” So today while I snapped pictures for my automated watering project post I also took some pictures of our flowers.
Dhalias
Lilly
I don’t remember what kind of flower this is.
This Dahlia is already as big as my hand!
Our planting has slowed down due to a couple camping trips and a break to get the irrigation system set up, but we will probably be adding more soon.

Wow, some of the largest flowers that I have seen on this site! Such vivid colors. I think the one flower is like a poppy. Maybe someone else knows for sure. Careful your daughter doesn’t trip over them! Amazing. Your green thumbs are showing!

That dahlia is beautiful! Love the colour. Have you planted with a colour scheme in mind, they are all such a pretty brugandy. I think the unknown may be an anemone…....but whatever it is, it’s very pretty. thanks for sharing with us.

Thank you everyone.
@Iris43 – we did not do anything with a plan in mind. My wife is the planner, I’m the doer and her schedule got goofed up this planting season and she gave my daughter an I the green light. My neighbor just commented the other day how random our backyard was. We have sunflowers next to the Lilies, pumkins and brocolli growing in what would probably be a flower bed in an organized yard. The colors most represent my daughters love of Reds, Pinks, and Magenta (the favorite color of the last few months).
We are just having fun and my 4 year old daughter is learning. (She know’s the word ‘transplant’ now and can even use it in a sentence as in ‘daddy, can I transplant my flower to the garden?’ – as she holds up a flower petal she picked off the ground at the nursery).
Also I think you are right about the anemone flower, that sound familiar.
