I saw the following picture on the net and thought of posting this blog.

All the Canadian GTs and lovers of literature will be happy to learn that Alice Munro, born July 10, 1931, in Wingham, in the Canadian province of Ontario is the winner of the 2013 Nobel Prize for Literature. Munro is the 13th woman to win the Nobel literature prize and is the first Canadian-based writer to ever win the Nobel literature award since it began in 1901. She is best known for her short stories and is often considered the Canadian Chekhov. I share my joy with all of you on this event.

How wonderful for her to be recognized for her life’s work!
