I guess I should have blogged about the seedlings that I have started. I started some jalapeno peppers about a month and a half ago and they are almost ready to go outside. I started them in a peat pellet and keep them in a mini greenhouse. I then transplanted them to a bigger pot using soil that I bought from my local Dollar General. The soil already contained fertilizer so I thought it would help the young plants out. The tomato varieties that I have chosen is Roma VF and Organic San Marzano (they won’t stay organic for long). I really enjoy paste tomatoes and I thought these would fit best in my garden. I started them in Jiffy Mix in foam cups. I settled for the foam cups because I don’t want to have to keep putting them into bigger containers. I hope to be able to transplant them in 6-8 weeks. And hopefully I will have enough buckets for them by then. If not, I’ll be forced to plant them into the ground.
