Hello,
Wanted to join to chat in the winter. Cold is bad, oh so bad. But great for the new life to come in spring. I do alot of shade gardening and native plant gardening. I try just about everything and can’t stay away from garage sale and auction knick-knacks. I am going to attempt a veggie garden in spring with my 4 year old daughter. She takes over all my plants and signs and puts them in her 4×4 area. Yes it is getting crowded.
Hope everyone has a most excellent Christmas.

This view is from the back of the property. We catch a lot of blue gill and some bass. My little one likes to go out on the row boat and make as much noise and splashes as possible. We have 4 acres wooded…2 on each side of us that I created a trail on. We have deer too.

Shade gardening! Oh, I so have to pick your brain before the spring! So much of my good areas to plant are partially, if not totally shaded all day… Got to keep as much free grassy areas for my 5 year old (and me) to run around in!
-- southern NH. - smack dab in the middle of 5a and 5b - with lots of shade and full sun, in all the wrong places.

Beautiful. I love the idea of native plants. We have quite a few, ourselves. One never has to worry about whether they will make it or not. They always do. LOL
