Love to hunt, fish, make sawdust, and grow veggies (not easy in Alaska). I grew up on a dairy farm in Northern New York and moved to Washington State in 1981. Left Washington in 2002 for Alaska. Still trying to figure out gardening in the frozen north.

Welcome to GT, Mart.
MsDebbieP has given some good links to explore. I have heard of some very successful gardeners in Alaska and the NorthWest Territories, although there are their challenges. Actually, when one thinks about it, each area has its own challenges, beit weather, soil, or pests.
We love to see photos of your garden or ideas.
We wish you all the best, and look forward to hearing about how you intend to “work with nature” in your area. We can all learn when we share.
