Well this will be my First Blog entry here at GardenTenders.

As you all know I am a bit new to this community, I do have a Lumberjocks page I guess would be associated with the same area.

I am a Scrollsawer, I cut many things out of thin wood and I do some woodworking as well.

But also I’m Kinda a gardner as well. I’m not a 100% Avid Gardner, I’m borrowing a Piece of Land from a Friend that that has a garden. He’s letting me use a 15’x30’ Section for my part.

I Planted a Garden the First Week of May, around the last frost of the year.

I Planted 3 Rows of Sweet Bi-colored Corn, 2 Rows of Bluelake Green Beans, 2 Rows of Tomatos Different Verities ranging from Pineapple, Big Boys, Beefstake, Romas and a few others, I also have a Row of Habanero Peppers, Cyanne Peppers, Jelapinos, Hungairian Sweet and Hot and Big Chilli Peppers

I went out to my Gardern which is a few miles away, my corn is already about 6” Tall, unfortunatly my Beans did not come up, I’m thinking because i’ve had the beans for a few years, my Peppers are starting to get some Blooms, and my Tomatos are starting to get a few small cherries on them.

So i’m Quite Satified with the outcome so far except for my Greenbeans…

I will be Submitting a Picture as soon as I can get out to the Garden to take a few so I can show the layout and configuration I chose best for my Veggies… Mainly because of me being in a Wheelchair, Things are a little more different and Difficult for me to manage, so I had to find a way around this…

Maybe this will help someone else that is wanting to start a garden or something and wasn’t sure how to go around making it accisseble…

Good for you!
Don’t let a little thing like a wheelchair (or, in my case, an oxy hose) stop you from doing the things you enjoy!

Sounds like you have quite a set-up. I’m looking forward to seeing your pictures. BTW, it’s not too late to re-plant your beans. They are an easy plant to grow and I’m sure you will enjoy the fruit.

As soon as I can get a few minor repairs on my Car, I will get out to the garden and take some pictures, and if it’s not too late, I may go ahead and Plant some more beans…

Been wanting to do some Canning last year of some corn and Beans and Juices and the likes, but unfortunatly, my beans and corn did not come up last year. I had a great supply of tomatos, but didn’t stake them up so most of the rotted…

So i got smart and Put 6’ Post in the ground 2×2’s to stake my tomatos, so this year I will have some more Fruit to Juice for my Sauces and stuff… And I will definatly have my Corn I was looking for this year, and if I can get out there, i will get some more Beans to put in the Ground…

Thanks for all the comments… I will get some pictures in Soon!
