This section is of shots from the greenhouse. Many tropicals, and a surprising number of begonia plants. I had no idea there were so many differing types.

There are many gorgeous tropical flowers, most of which I had never seen before.

My wife and kids beside the yellow flower. This gives a better perspective about size.

There is something growing in the centre of this large flower.

So delicate some flowers are while others are quite coarse.

Oh so very delicate, and such a wonderful colour

And so are these equally spectacular.

No wonder the jungles are so appealing to wild life.

Desert plants – there is an entire greenhouse of cactus

I don’t know what these are, but they are beautiful

Nice fuzzy leaves on them, also.

Nice yellow again, but in a very familiar plant for most of us…. begonia

Elephant ears, nice waxy feel to them

They can get quite large. I had one in my garden that measured 37 inches

Wow!
Thanks for the tour. I don’t do greenhouses, since the combination of heat and humidity triggers truly nasty asthma attacks, but it was really nice to get a “second-hand” tour, so to speak.

I understand about the asthma attacks. They can be quite musty. These ones were surprisingly not. They had a cross draft with the windows being open, and they were really very nice to be in.
Make sure you click the pictures to get larger ones.
