Montreal Botanical Gardens - August 2008 - part 1 - large file

My wife and I travelled in early August with my son and his new wife to Montreal and Ottawa. One of the highlights of the trip for all of us was the visit to the Botanical Gardens. I took a lot of photos and I shall try to post some of them here in differing sections, so that the download is not too great. I have reduced all photos to about 25% or less.

First section: Shots of gardening interests around Montreal en route to the garden.

Typical Garden Shop

Neat fountain made with gardeners shovels

Nice municipal garden

Cleome

Russian Sage

Just outside the Botanical Garden is the olympic site and forum

The food was great. We had a wonderful chef’s tasting menu one night at a place called Garcon on Sherbrooke. It was really good.
