Harold and Pam

Pam has always enjoyed gardening. Me... not so much (ok - not at all.) Growing up all I knew of gardening was weeding the flower beds for my mom - no fun, especially since mom grew better weeds then flowers! So between that history and other garden tragedy, I was reluctant when Pam asked to begin a garden.

We started with a small raised bed about 2 feet deep by 8 feet long by 3 inches high. The next season,we doubled that. The following year she began a new section in a different area of the yard. This section is primarily flowers with a spattering of veggies. (The others are veggies with a spattering of flowers)

This year (2010) I built Pam two more raised beds. These beds are 3 feet wide by 8 feet long and 12 inches high each. I'm currently building an above watering system for these beds.

Slowly but surely, Pam's gardening is taking over the yard. Guess in time I can sell the mower!!
