Recently, I wrote an article for gardenhelp.org discussing Noxious Weeds. After responding to a post here that suggested Butterfly bushes, which may or may not be noxious in your area, I thought it might be timely to share some information about Noxious Weeds with our community. Keep in mind that my discussion relates specifically to Washington State. However, I hope it inspires you to seek out more information about how weeds are classified in your area. Like me, you may be sad and surprised to see some of your favorite plants listed. Here is the listing for Michigan … and Butterfly bushes are not on our list, thankfully.
