Hi & welcome. I’m a Seattlite with a passion for gardening. I’ve gardened and farmed all over California, in Virginia and most recently in Seattle. I’m an award winning, professional landscape designer and garden consultant (aka garden coach or garden mentor). I have a passion for teaching interested people of all gardening skill levels how to become more active and successful in their gardens, and I enjoy continuing my own gardening education through continuing education, networking with other professionals and learning-by-doing. I do this through my Seattle, Washington-based garden design & consulting company, Garden Mentors.
I am particpating in gardentenders as a way to journal about my observations and experiences in the garden — professionally and personally. I seek to learn as well as to educate. I look forward to hearing what inspires others in the garden & hope you will join me in sharing your experiences, knowledge and observations.

Thanks for all the welcomes folks. I’m intrigued by the community and tools here and hope I can contribute valuable information as well as find inspiration and growth through reading about all of your experiences. Sorry I don’t have time to respond to each post individually right now. The ground might be frozen in Seattle, but that doesn’t stop me from meeting with clients to continue their lifelong learning programs. Cheers!
