Photo Host Change

Blog entry by dustynewt posted 201 days ago 120 reads 0 times favorited 4 comments Add to Favorites

I have recently relocated most of my photos to Flickr from Photobucket. I had some issues with pop-ups, one the said I had a virus and caused me to force quit my terminal. So I didn’t feel too secure at my old photo host and went to this one. Hopefully, it is better maintained.

Anyway, you can view more of my garden photos, along with woodworking and other interests, here;

Dustynewt … I really enjoyed all your photos. Had never heard of an Orchid TREE … I might put up with the invasiveness cuz it sure looked pretty from your photos. So many beautiful plants/shurbs in your yard!! And those sunsets … WOW!!! Do you ever get tired of that??!!!

Thank you for sharing those … it was nice to get a peek of Florida! :-)

GrandmaT - Thanks for the wonderful comments.

I have always wondered if “Orchid tree” was the correct name for these (we have always called them that). It was confirmed about a year ago by a fellow LumberJock in the tree business.

Florida is beautiful. You just have to get used to the oppressive, humid heat five months a year. People rarely see the real Florida when they come on vacation. Disney is great, but it is 98% artificial. I have lived here since 1979.

Dusty … I used to spend my summers near Ft. Lauderdale in the late 60’s early 70’s. We would fly there with my father for work. I have many awesome memories of that time … the Ocean, humidity, lizards, seemed like daily afternoon showers, walking up and down boat docks, tropical plants … you are right, Florida is beautiful, even from a young teen’s perspective.
