Getting Ready To Exchange Seeds In The Fall #1: Start Saving Seeds Now

no previous part Part 1 of Getting Ready To Exchange Seeds In The Fall series no next part

Hi everyone.I have started to collect my seeds for next year and some extras for trading. The hollyhocks are nearly done so I have collected their seeds and the shoo fly has a ton of seed.As my plants finish blooming I will gather all I can.
I think it would be a great idea if anyone who wants to trade makes a post of what seeds they have available and we make a private trade for what we would like.
Does anyone like this idea?

Yes! I like the idea. I love to swap seeds. I will have some myself. I have started collecting. I will have some basket flower, black-eyed susans, a variety of vegetables, and others. Should there be/is there a specific place to post trades?

I like the idea, too. That way we all have an idea what’s available. I think there is a stickie started for seed swapping, but i’m not sure.

Yes, I too like this idea … hoping to save some seeds myself for trading …

It stated raining here and is calling for rain for the next week…Hopefully it will dry up before all the seeds have fallen to the ground. I should have lots of seed from fernleaf bleeding heart (Dicentra Exima) and white mallow. I’m also expecting some blue-eyed grass, Mullien, evening primrose and maybe more.

Excellent.I think we are going to have some swapping everyone.
Can we still swap flower and veggie seeds across the border? That would be fun.

I have some pink hollyhocks and some blue asters. Should get some from my purple allium when they finally go to seed.
