Peak Moment TV’s Janaia Donaldson interviews and visits Trathen Heckman’s home to see his greywater system in a suburban neighbourhood.
Now his system is in California, so some adjustment may be necessary for colder climates, but he does talk about a diverter valve (which, in his case is under the house) which then effectively allows the choice to divert or not to divert the greywater into his outdoor filtration system and dispersal.
At the moment, I don’t see how greywater systems can be practical in a cold climate ( I mean during the cold season itself) but I am probably just limited in my knowledge. Perhaps this system could be inside a greenhouse in the winter?
Worth a ‘visit’.

oh to be 30 again.
I’d love to tackle something like this but I don’t think Rick would be so eager. It does have me thinking, however, about alternatives, compromises, simpler options.
