Burger potato wedges

Today the temperatures reached 9 degrees here…wow, just last week it was in the -20’s. The warm weather inspired me to make some summer food.

For the potato wedges I threw a handfull of my “everything spice” in a baggie spun up some cornflakes in the food processor and added them to the baggie, I then peeled and cut into wedges 6 medium potatoes and tossed them into the bag with a tablespoon of oilve oil…Shake it all about and throw them on a cookie sheet…Bake on 400 until crispy.

Everything spice: Whenever my spices are getting low and I’m ready to open a new jar I toss the leftovers into a bag and mix them all together…This makes a great shake-and-bake mix with some cornflakes added.

My everything spice contains (in no measure or order)

Onion powder
Garlic Powder
Garlic granuals
Cayenne
Basil
Oregano
Rosemary
Thyme
Parsley
Chives
Black Pepper
Sea salt

As for the burger:

(makes 2)

Patty:
1 boneless skinless chicken breast
1/4 onion
1 clove garlic
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp sea salt

Grind in foodprocessor, make into 2 patties and fry in olive oil turning once.

The sprouted bread buns I buy :)

From bottom to top:

Bottom bun
Honey mustard
Sesame seeds
Sheep Feta
Hot chicken patty
Salsa
Tomato
Dill pickle
lettuce
ketchup

MMMMMMMMMM
Yummy :)

Top bun

sounding good

the potatoes are similar to something I put together:
potato slices; brussel sprouts (cut in 1/2); some onions, baby carrots, peppers and whatever.. tossed in olive oil; sprinkled with Mrs. Dash and then cooked on the barbeque in a covered pan til yummy toasty.

I like the idea of the barbecue: saves electricity, and you can always cook something else with it, maybe the chicken burger. I think I will try all of that this weekend and serve the burger on homemade buns: got company coming.

Got anything else we can serve with that?
