The Summer Bloom is on

The bloom may be off the roses due to the late rains, but that does not stop the rest of the plants. The Goats Beard along the woodshed is going nuts as is the Lady’s Mantel. That’s a nice shade plant, lots of striking color and it just does not seem to be pushed around by large Hosta or the Goats Beard. She just does her thing. The Jack Mandi clematis is coming into bloom. The ends of an old clothes line make a good support. The upper clothesline T has a later blooming light lavender clematis. I planted a red one this year out on an arbor under the fir trees. It’s sort of stuck between a hardy fushia and a Chinese quince; not much room for sunshine so time...
