I have been gardening and landscaping since I was under my mother’s skirt. Growing up on a farm - you learn a lot about flowers, vegetables and landscaping. I know live in Richfield and have a corner lot in town. Two years ago when my daughter graduated - my husband and I did a large backyard project with included retaining walls, field stone pavers for a seating area and planted the bed with mostly shade perennials. This year we are going to continue the project and hopefully complete it with a little luck. We plan on putting in 2 more retaining walls, a path from the backyard to the side of the garage, an arbor and redo the garden area. Most of the backyard is shaded by the neighbor’s large trees so I do not have good sun to grow a lot of vegetables or perennials that I would love to have. I get by with a couple of tomato plants, green beans and herbs for cooking with. I will be posting pictures soon as the project must be done before July 4th.
