« Part 4: We Have Sproutage!!! Part 5 of Garden attempt #2 Spring 2010 series Part 6: Are We Serious Here? »

Each day I seem to wake in a different “zone” than I went to sleep in, lol. With highs in the mid 40’s and winter coats traded in for sweaters or hoodies, it just FEELS like getting your hands and knees dirty in the garden….then BAM! I wake up to Christmas! Snow covered EVERYTHING, ice scrapers and a ten minute freeze job just to take kids to school…... and BAM! Next day wake up to not a drop of ice or snow to be seen, it somehow ALL MELTED overnight….. isn’t it supposed to get colder at night? Well, like all okies say, “If you don’t like the weather in Oklahoma, just wait a minute, it’s about to change” lol

we’ve had some unbelievable weather changes here as well …. sometimes 20 degrees (Celsius) change from morning to afternoon.

We just have snow and the ground is frozen solid. The only gardening I am doing these days is in my mind or on paper. Hang in there, spring will be coming soon.

Yes, we are all experiencing ‘strange’ weather. It’s still cold and frozen here, even if it’s not -30 and only -3. It’s still frozen and no outdoor gardening going on. But GardenTenders is a great place to spend some time for a ‘garden fix’. Lots of like-minded people and wonderful pictures. Not mention the great ideas about preparing for the gardening season ahead.

We got a bit more snow last night so at least the children here can go sledding down the hills again.I’m still doing some more jugs for outside to keep me busy gardening.I just finished making a couple of small tables to set your drinks on around the outside fireplace. Now I’m making some planter boxes for some veggies.Nothing fancy just some square boxes for some things I don’t want in my flower beds.(lol)
