Presently working as a Horticultural Therapist at a long term care facility in Mississaugua, Ontario. I live and breathe plants all year round and my kids insist that I love my plants more than I do them!!! My home inside looks like a jungle haven. Hi :) Welcome to GT!

had to laugh at the :love the plants more than the kids haha.

I used to do a parent/child program at a Hospital. They had a plant therapy program and every once in a while our schedules would match and we’d get to watch the Senior residents planting etc. Wonderful activity!

Welcome to GT, SonyaJ. You aren’t too far from us. It is good to hear that you are creating a jungle haven. I am doing the same thing here. My wife complains that I am taking over HER studio with MY plants. Mind you, she doesn’t mind picking all my flowers in the summer, and distributing them to friends,- leaving my gardens looking somewhat naked :(

Hey Mr. Jroot. I don’t know your cousin in Petersbourg however I have frequented the “Blue Moon”. I actually live in Kitchener (outskirts) but my friend Tom lives in Petersbourg and we have been working together on his water feature. He is quite creative with wood and design and I do the garden part. We were inspired by gardens in Big Bay (off of Georgian Bay) this past summer. They have created garden rooms all throughout their property incorporating art as well, truly amazing place…

Sonya, did you get a chance to see Larkwhistle, a FABULOUS garden at 191 Lindsay Road 40 Dyers Bay, Ontario N0H 1Z0 ? When you mentioned rooms in the garden it made me think of this garden near Georgian Bay.
