I just re-read your profile and noticed that you are a Master Gardener. I looked into this through the county extension office and it looks like a great opportunity to do some volunteer gardening work. How has your experience been in your neck of the woods?

I think it is great that you are a Master Gardener. I just got my “badge” last month. It sure is fun to keep up on the training and volunteer hours. Keeps you hopping and keeps you in touch with other gardeners. We have a group that meets and conducts trainings. I give a five minute spiel each meeting on a local native plant.
Welcome to the group. Happy New Year.
PS Is it just too cold to step outside there or what?

Thanks everyone, not being familiar with everything here as of yet, I missed these WARM welcomes…thank You all, very much.
Damocles Thank You, and I had a rough start in this area, it has slowly changed though, I was sorta “blackballed” for “preaching organics”, but the trends change, and the organic farms/gardeners are increasing..(besides, I didn’t Preach organics, I mentioned it, and folks were interested) LOL
MsDebbie…TY, and I hope to contribute
nativeplantsrule..Hi, I have a friend thats into wild plants big time, fact is, it’s his whole income, I like working with the inner city kids, and their community gardens…it’s so rewarding
