Today we were watching a frog sit on the lily pads in our pond and then I noticed a second little guy across the pond on another lily pad.
And then as I was about to walk away I saw this one. I think he was in the middle of playing leap frog with this cast-iron lady bug!
It was just too cute for words.

That’s a cute shot. The metal ladybug is probably warmer on his cold little toes than the rocks are.

I’m with you … they would be way cool if I had that wonderful pond of yours!!! No frogs in my little water barrel and have to admit, thankfully. hahaha!!!

I like to have frogs around. When I first saw this, at first glance, I thought you had captured an intimate moment, but then realized that it was too hard. ... the ladybug, that is.
This one was in my pond last year. I had one actually overwinter in my pond. When I opened it, out he/she came. This year, since I’ve redesigned it, I have only seen one, the other day.

After all this frog talk I ventured out to sit on my swing … looking at my water barrel and what am I seeing … certainly not cute frogs … I’ve got yellow jackets zooming in for a drink. No comparison … geesh.

Me too, and I’m not fond of frogs … but can say honestly I am even LESS FOND of Yellow Jackets!!!!
As I said above I sat in my swing watching them dive bomb for water. When one got “wet” and could not get out. Now being the nice person that I am … I only THOUGHT, DIE, DIE, DIE you nasty thing instead of walking over and “making waves” to help the process. Much to my dismay, he got out. Hmmmmm, I think I have way too much time on my hands—LOL!!!!

Not so sure … you had drama, running, moving of arms and feet, rapid heartbeat … me, I had lips forming “die, die, die” ... no running, moving of arms and feet, no rapid heartbeat … thank goodness – hahaha!!!
