For the past couple of weeks we’ve been hearing a huge splash in the pond and haven’t been able to see what it was, although we figured that it was a frog.
Yesterday, we finally saw him. So here’s Freddy.

Frogs … love their sounds and like to watch them … from a distance. Freddy is a pretty little guy. What a really nice surprise and addition to your pond!!!!!
I love these phots by the way … love the way the water is falling into the hands … and you can see glimpses of your plants (and Freddy, of course). Great “eye” MsDeb!!!!

And why did this little guy make so much noise when he jumped into the pond???
Well.. we just saw a second frog – about twice his size!! 2 jumpers!!!
I hope they stay all summer.

This morning we were watching the fish eat and the frog sit on his rock in the water and then.. and then…
the smallest of the fish was eating in front of the frog and the frog started fidgeting slightly and I said, “uh oh…” Sure enough in a flash the frog jumped at the fish and went under the water. A moment of breathless waiting and we saw froggy sitting by the water plants – mouth empty (phew)... and a few moments later the fish could be seen underneath the plants in the centre of the pond. I think he was busy counting his blessings.
Rick said, “I’ve never seen a frog eat a fish before.”
Me: “you almost did this morning!”

haha yup. had us speechless, that’s for sure!
the other new fish doesn’t look well tonight. It’s not eating and is just floating around, not swimming. I’m sure we’ll be finding it floating upside down tomorrow morning.
