One step closer!!
Last weekend Rick put one of the window’s on hinges so we could get a breeze going through the gazebo. Once I saw how easy that was I, of course, asked that all the main windows be put on hinges. Next, well, we had to keep the mosquitoes out so I had him make a screen for each of the windows, out of the original screen enclosure (glad we are still getting our money’s worth out of that purchase).
So, I now have a screen door, with a glass insert for winter months, and six windows that tilt open, each screened in.
Here’s how it is looking now:
1. external view of the front (south side) including the door from my great-grandfather’s farm. The black gargoyle to the right of the door (supposedly keeps evil spirits from entering) is one of the cement sculptures that I purchased along with the hands in my pond. Oh.. I guess you can’t really see him. I’ll have to take another photo later.
2. external view of east wall. The fountain shown here has been located in several places since I bought it but I think it has finally found its home! The Buddha head is one of the cement sculptures from the couple who made the hands that I have in my pond now.
3. inside view of east wall
4. inside view of north wall (all windows open)
5. inside view of west wall (all windows open)
6. inside view of south wall (notice my lovely curtains that I got at Canadian Tire a few years ago for $2)

You have a cozy and eclectic gazebo to hang around!
I have the feeling that those walls could already tell a lot of stories!!
Really like the outside setting: very natural and homey!! In a few weeks those beds should be a real showpiece!

Yup, I like your “little home away from home” ... very cozy and cute. Love your grandfather’s door and Rick did a fine job with those windows and screens!!
I love the setting … really pretty leading up to the Gazebo. Love the weeping tree garden and the stone path.
