A few years ago I purchased a garden tent at a year end sale for a great price. The roof had a middle section that provided an air vent and the sides were a tarp wall as well as a netting wall which provided multi-weathered facilities.
About one month after we put it up, we had severe winds and the entire metal structure was twisted beyond usability and my great bargain was now useless.
For a year, it sat unused waiting for its rebirth. Last summer we built a 12×12 deck and wooden frame for the tarps and roof.

This year the winds, again, attacked the tarps and the roof has a beautiful ‘skylight’ in it (yes, the tarp was shredded.
Now, we have to take the gazebo to a new level and a major transformation is about to take place.
The goal:
2 walls made of old windows and 2 walls made of old doors and windows (whatever we can get out hands on.) The roof will be replaced with tin and then we will be looking for an old potbelly stove (or something similar) to fit inside to keep it toasty warm for our “Bonfire Breakfasts” (another blog waiting to be discussed).
Current Status:
We have 9 old windows from my great-grandfather’s home. We should be able to transform at least one wall with these windows (or two walls if we put wood on the bottom and just use the windows on the top half of the two walls.
Deadline:
ha…. it’s hunting season and we have to work around Rick’s schedule :)

Great Job Debbie. Good luck on the continued conversion.
I’ve had a plan for a Gazebo for many years and my wife keeps asking when.
But, she is asking when on her kitchen first.

haha priorities!
I have a list as well… but because my Mom needs a warm place to sit for our bonfire breakfasts this has taken a priority over everything else outdoors.

Neat gazebo. When working with Mother Nature, we often have to modify our plans, and often end up with something even better than originally intended.
