Still putting in plants, almost out of pots

Blog entry by Louise posted 125 days ago 147 reads 0 times favorited 8 comments Add to Favorites

Getting close to the end of my stock of pots, today I’m planting gerbera daisy’s and zinnia’s these will go in my sunny spots, they make for great splash of color. I have my other helper today this is flossie, she’s not much for gardening but she does enjoy my bags of planting soil.

As a supervisor, looks like flossie is doing a great job! And she knows she is pretty.

Your pots sure are going to look good. Just can’t wait to see them in your yard!

Love your two helpers Louse! Adorable indeed.

I’ve got to start to collect containers ….. have 5 thus far but nothing out of the ordinary and all lack character. Thinking that I ought to start looking for garrage sales which ought to begin shortly now that the weather has warmed up.
In my case, containers are the only route to take. Again, your gardens are so attractive.

Planning to put a small veggie garden in …. postage size plot of the usual.

Your pots do not have to be anything fancy I find plots everywhere I like to go to stores like Target or Wal-Mart near the end of the summer season you can usually find good sales on their garden supplies. I also save all my dirt in a storage bin the large pots I cover with plastic and store them away with the dirt in them, The next season I pull out the pots add fertilizer and lime and away I go.

Hi We have stores that are called new to you. They are usually run by a charity such as a CHristian school or as the one I went to today for the local hospital run by the volunteers. There were a few pots. I got two for fifty cents BUT I got a cart for a dollar that will hold my seed flats and the later my houseplants out side for a dollar. Check them out.
Did you grow those beautiful plants from seeds? I have just planted my Gerbera daisies and I hope they look half as good as your’s.

Blooz ... I agree with Louise; the pots don’t have to be anything fancy … and garage sales would be a perfect place to find odd pots and items to plant. Just have fun …
