Alas, again I have made someone angry, so I will be leaving shortly. I will continue to care for Kitty Cat, be rest assured my new friend is safe with me.
{cats are like vermon I hope and pray this forum doesnt become a “cat lover” forum }. Enough said
Once again I find myself apologizing, so this will be the last you will hear from me. I have sent out personal emails, I hope you get them, I wish you all the best here. Thank you all for the advice. Maybe I will see some of you around sometime somewhere else.

Life is too short to worry so much about others or their opinions. Kick back, have a beer, relax. It’s all good.
I’d think you’re over reading into alot of things. But that’s just my opinion..
At any rate, I don’t like cats either.. Own three.. Or is it the other way around.. hmmmm…
Say.. where’d my beer go?

Heck, I have pet chickens…everywhere I go someone reminds me of their edibility….even though – uh-um, in some cultures cats, dogs and other “pets” are edible too. :D If I was to take off every time a comment upset me, I would have to hide in a dark corner.
Why not stay, post more about gardening and as Scott said just relax and don’t worry about others opinions…If you post on a community forum there will be many differing opinions, accept them – don’t worry about them.

I agree with Scott and XO
and as you get to know the person who wrote that you’ll know that his comments are said in the most loving of ways :) ... although I’d guess that he doesn’t like cats lol

How delightful is the company of generous people, who overlook trifles and keep their minds instinctively fixed on whatever is good and positive in the world about them.
The most tragic flaw of all is to believe something is wrong with everyone else, and that nothing is wrong with you.

The other was white with red eyes. Evil little POS.
Vermin… For shame..

allright xo i`ll say it i hate rats i have had loads of them since i moved here a year ago i just had to throw away a compost maker because they ate through the plastic. i am currently trying to eradicate them as my grandchildren play in our garden a lot and rats carry a serious disease called vialls which causes blindness.
now all the rat lovers will have a go at me, well thats life.but im still staying!!!
regards mike

Well foowy foo foo on you, MIKE and your rat hatingness..
But while we’re on the subject. Any idea how to keep rodents from chewing absurd things? I’ve got a psycho squirrel which has chewed.. Oh lets see.. My sons plastic slide.. My riding mower seat.. A wagon.. A 220 power line… Hmmm.. Maybe that’s why it’d not right in the head.

Yes, a lot of things are said here very “tonque and cheek” and the person to whom you are quoting Lady G has to be one of our kindest, big hearted and funniest members. I don’t believe that member has a cruel bone in his body … but LOL, as MsDeb said; I am sure he doesn’t like cats.
Stay and get to know us, read through the threads … we are a diverse group of folk who all have different personalities, beliefs, ways of expressing ourselves; but I believe that is what makes this forum so wonderful. The longer you are on the site and chat the more you come to understand who each one of us are.
And Scott … I’m off the “soap box” now … so pass the beer … hahahaha!!!!

Sorry GrandmaT, Xploreorganics drank it all.. Got some wine coolers though.. Almost as good as a beer from the freezer after a long day in the garden. ;)

Scott uttered…
“But while we’re on the subject. Any idea how to keep rodents from chewing absurd things? I’ve got a psycho squirrel which has chewed.. Oh lets see.. My sons plastic slide.. My riding mower seat.. A wagon.. A 220 power line… Hmmm.. Maybe that’s why it’d not right in the head.”
Capsicum
In all it’s varieties is a good deterrent for gnawing animals.
You will find it in red pepper Tabasco sauce and chili oil for example.
A few drops propitiously placed will give your pest a hot mouth.
Birds apparently cant taste it so you can use it on feeders without too much restriction.
Remember, you are trying to program them to stay away from certain things and you may need to repeat the sermon from time to time as your residents change.
Cheers
Bob

That was beer Scott? Was it organic? Hmmm tasted like water to me :)
I have a story about capsicum and a husband….But since he is a Lumberjock, I won’t tell it and ruin his reputation.

I was watching CityTV “breakfast television” this morning and what was the hot topic?? “neighbour’s cats digging and pooping in the gardens. Lots of frustrated non-cat owners out there! (ok, and some cat owners who are frustrated with the digging as well.)
