The bad and the good. --- Bugs
Our little garden has a few pests this morning. This was on the Fennel plant. There were quite a few of them some were small. This was the biggest today. There was a larger one on there a few days ago so maybe it went off to make a cocoon. Black Swallowtale Butterfly On the tomato plants was this. On its back you will see some white cocoons these are parasitic wasp cocoons that are feeding on the worms. When we first saw them we fed the worm to the chickens. they loved them. Now we leave them on the tomato plants. I’ve noticed some small wasps flying around the garden. One landed on the fennel and was climbing on the flower. It was about 1/2” long. but the...
