These last two days were kind of interesting to say the least. Line a couple of windows up to see how they will look and come out somewhat the same from one end to the other.
Put it up take it down …nope still wont work out, what to do? so I try a different combination of windows.
This is what I came up with after using all the windows that were close to the same on the top and one of the sides the rest just piece meal together and hope for the best.

Apon closer inspection I found these windows were replaced because of fire exposure. Replace one …all windows in the house must be replaced. Even though they were not damaged they were replaced anyway.
This happened to many houses apparently.
So far everything with the exception of the 2×4 rafters and fasteners( screws bolts and anchors) has all been repurposed material. Some of it has been here in the garage laying around just for this occasion.
Well so much for this day, my lazy bone has kicked in and I believe its time for some coffee and a relaxing movie to finish out the day.
Next I will be figuring out how to close the peek on each end with out the glass….hmmm!
Then start sealing the entire structure between all the windows.
Happy super bowl weekend ya’ll
God Bless

Great looking greenhouse Jim, any plant would be proud to be propagated there! Looking forward to seeing it in action.

Thank you,
Honestly I’m chomping at the bit to get started….it slightly rained and snowed last night. I went out to see how it stood up and surprisingly it was mostly dry inside without any sealant on top. :-)
Not to brag…because my grandma rest her soul, said its rude to talk about money in front of folks you don’t know. That being said I wanted to show how using reclaimed materials can be almost as effective and nice as the commercially sold units. After doing lots of research I found this type of green house, glass type included and in vinyl costs between 10 to 12k….I myself could never afford such a luxury as that.
After all is said and done were looking at a little under $350 for this little house. That’s more in my poor boy price range.

You are doing a fantastic job constructing that greenhouse. Your carpentry skills and reusing materials definitely have created quite an economical, useful and beautiful green house.
