Rain water retention tank #1: The start

After everything has been planted and awaiting the new seeds to pop up and begin growing, its time to think about the rain water tank. Looking online and locally it seemed our best choice for a rain holding area was to use block and line it with pond liner. IBC containers are about $100-150 depending who has them. The blue barrels seem fine but not really the look we’re going for.I had thought of using 2X10’s but settled on cement block instead. In the detentions I have we should be able to capture about 450 gallon’s of rain water.The top will be covered to keep light out and a pump will be installed to move the water about as well as some air stones to help keep...
