I am new here but excited to join the fun. So I’m going to try and share some pics of my garden with you. I find that I learn better by ‘hands on’ experience———here goes.
Ok, I did pretty well but I don’t know how to turn the pic of the hydrangea———sorry you’ll all have to turn your computers on their side to see it.

Very lovely gardens … your Hosta “garden” is really pretty along with your daisies and coneflowers. Love your Clematis … just gorgeous!! And that Hydrangea, so lovely … What is the plant in the 4th pic??
AND, your kitty is just adorable!!! I miss our’s, we had to put our beloved Tabbie to sleep this past winter. So your pic made me smile!!! What is her/his name??

Lovely. That hydrangea is stunning.
As Gran asked, What is the plant in #4? I love that coloration. And such a regal kitty, obviously the ruler of this domain!

Thank you GrandmaT. That 4th pic is a Painter’s palette, I recieved at a plant swap last year. I really like it although it seeded quite afew little ones. It is so pretty it is not hard to find homes for the extras——and it grows fairly fast as well so it fills a spot and shows up nicely. The botanical name I believe is Persicaria.
My cat is a bobbed-tail Manx cat. His name is Bobby.

Dini, you are very right about who’s the ‘king’ of the castle. He is 13 years old and has me well trained———Oh, I meant to say he’s well trained. LOL

Haven’t heard of that plant … have to do some research on it. Can see why you would want to find “extra homes” for the little ones it produces.

Welcome to GardenTenders…That has got to be the most beautiful clematis I have seen, and what a collection of hostas you have! I also love the Polygonum virginianum (painters pallette), I’m sure you’ll find some homes for the extras on here…Don’t forget to save some seeds :)

welcome to GT. Gorgeous gorgeous gardens/flowers
Your cat looks like our Jasmine. I had never heard of a bobbed-tailed Manx before! Jasmine has no tail and we all just assumed that she had lost it somehow in her life. (Son-in-law inherited it from a previous girlfriend and he doesn’t like cats so he doesn’t care about the tail so never asked, I guess.)
Now I’ve done a little research and that’s pretty cool. It says a Manx’ hindquarters are higher than the front—again, we thought the “deformation” was from an accident. Fascinating.
And so.. thanks for posting the pix of your cat!!! :) I learned something new today

Thanks everyone for the generous remarks. I am so excited to be on GT. I have already ‘snooped’ into some of your gardens. So many creative people! I’m going to work hard to try and keep up. I do have lots of lovely flowers, but mostly I just let them do their own thing. Consequently by this time of the summer my gardens are beginning to look overgrown and crowded. I guess that is just ‘my’ style.
BTW, the clematis is several years old, which probably explains why it is so exuberant.
MsD. is Jasmine the same colour as Bobby? Another charateristic of Manx is that they do not meow. Instead they communicate by that throaty noise mother cats use to talk to thier kittens. Bobby was one of three cats that I had at one time. The other two were not Manxes, so he has learned how to meow but very seldom uses it. Bobby is the 4th Manx cat I’ve owned (of course I mean ‘who has owned me) and all of them came from ‘stray’ sources.

Jasmine pretty much looks exactly like your cat. Can’t say I’ve heard her meow really but boy oh boy does she purr!! We sometimes have to tell her to “turn it down” because we can’t sleep or we can’t hear the tv. She is SO loud.

Nice shot of the shastas. It looks like it could have been right out of my garden.
Like Eklectic says, overcrowded garden = lush garden. I like that look. A friend of mine spends hours manicuring her garden, with nice space around each plant, no weeds, etc. It looks nice, but too much work, and frankly I think the stuffed look looks even more lush.
Thanks for sharing.
