In my last blog someone suggested some pics showing the different views of my garden as opposed to individual flowers, so here we go———————————->
This picture is of my front yard and the gardens across the front of the deck.
When you come off the front deck and walk through the garden to the east, you walk through the arbor.
Up the east side of the house is a butterfly bush that hides the AC.
Then you have a view into my backyard.
The east side————————————————————- and the west corner, where the pond is:

A closer look at the pond———————————————————-and some of it’s inhabitants—-
I have another deck on the back of the house, with BBQ for eating out——-
That leaves the west side of the house, the hibiscus is just starting to bloom—
And a few random shots thoughout the gardens:
Well that’s it, now you have some idea of how I garden. Not very orderly. Actually with hardly any rhyme or reason. In the spring, after the daffs and tulips, my gardens are full of blooming iris. Every few weeks the picture changes so it’s hard to decide just when to take ‘a typical’ picture. These shots were taken within the last week. Hope you enjoyed.

Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed the tour :) My gardens are only unique in that they are full of old-fashioned flowers. My Dad always had something blooming and that’s what I try to do as well. Sometimes I wish they weren’t so crowded, bc I’d like to sqweeze something new in somewhere, but at least when they are so overgrown I don’t have many weeds. LOL
Doug, my pond in not large, only about 6’x4 1/2’, rocks and all. It is 18” deep. It took me all day to dig it and I thought it was going to be my grave bf I was done. (tree roots) LOL I do wish I could over-winter my fish in it. I bring the fish indoors for the winter. My cat and enjoy the company for the winter. :)

Iris43,
Your gardens ARE beautiful! I really enjoyed the tour!
I love how you have put plants here and there like on one side of a tree and the treasures you have all over make a real nice statement!!
Sometimes I wish they weren’t so crowded, bc I’d like to sqweeze something new in somewhere,
I understand completely: why I have so many flowerbeds and hubby is loosing his grass!!:-)

How very nice Iris. It was also nice to meet you at the corn roast and perhaps my garden will now be sharing some of your gardens offspring!
