So I thought I’d share some sunny pics with you. The tropical hibiscus are absolutely stunning here this year…..(maybe I say that every year, :) )

So is the bougainvillia….
This is just a small sampling, I’ll add to them, and other pics as time goes by.

Very refreshing pictures of hibiscus and bougainvillea. Both are my favorites, you know. I will try to get the yellow hibiscus for my hibiscus garden. Weather here is also warming up and my hibiscus and bougainvillea have started showing their beautiful colors.

Well, I’m home now. And although I have been tardy re. posting more pics, I’ll try and make up for it now.
I went to Mebourne a couple weeks ago to visit Harold and Pam. It was good to re-new our friendship. Harold has been very busy, now with a full-time job, and doing some renovating inside and outside of his house. The day I visited, he was painting a large room at the back of their house, before he had to leave for work.
He kindly took time to show my his favorite little ‘worm farm’. :) Fascinating! Hundreds of wiggly, red worms feeding on the kitchen scraps Harold fed them….making valuable compost for the garden. It actually was very interesting.
Here’s Harold feeding and watering his farm…
And some pictures of Pam’s flowers….

Unfortunately I didn’t get a pic of Pam!! Perhaps bc it was raining and we were dodging rain-drops. I did get this pic of a climbing frog…almost.
Nevertheless, Pam and I had a good time, drinking iced tea and looking at her seed catalogues for so many different tomatoes, Pam’s passion.
I did my best to coax Harold and Pam to come to the September get-together at MsDeb’s. :)

I don’t think I showed you a pic of my little ‘home away from home’. I especially like this one with my next door neighbour’s rig.

Here’s another….

We had two days where the temps dropped into the 40’s & 50’s. Although I have a heater in the camper, Bobby still sought a spot of sunlight to warm his bones.
But the rest of our time in the sunny south was very warm and the flowers were outstanding.
Some gorgeous roses…

I went to this preserve one day as it was apparently an area where one could observe migrating birds. I didn’t see any unusual birds…maybe bc I was watching nervously for the aligators and poisonous snakes the sign cautioned against.
I did find some pretty wild flowers.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
And I chased some unusual butterflies, but couldn’t catch them in a usable picture.
One favorite pic of the pelicans…
And another type of sea bird…..
These last pics are of the blossoming ornamental pear trees I saw as I drove north through Georgia on my drive home.

how wonderful!!
I chuckled at the side-by-side “homes” :D
poisonous snakes?? I think that would have done it for me. “next on the agenda, please” :)
The flowers are gorgeous – I especially like that first wild flower.
All are beautiful.
I hope you were successful re: the convincing. Come on Harold and Pam, don’t let Iris down :D :D

Great shots, Iris. It is so nice to see where you have travelled. My wife and I enjoyed the Savanna area as well.

I missed this post too, Bon. My life gets too busy sometimes. Although belated, welcome home, Iris! It is good to have you back and I am glad you had a good time down south. I enjoyed all the photos, but I really like that pelican photo.
