Thanks for the welcome Debbie. You’re fast——-I just signed up. Am finding my way around, but it is getting too late for me now. I’ll have to explore more tomorrow. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and find out what is happening in other’s gardens.

Hi Iris43 Welcome to GT.
It always amazes me when I get a new plant that there is always room for one more ( lol )

I think some of the best gardens are the unplanned ones … they always look so “untamed” and natural.

I love gardens without a plan. I love to wander and find things in unexpected places. Lulu

okay, so who is the daughter, and who is the mom?
Welcome anyway, Iris. I note that you are from south west Ontario. What urban area is near to you, just so we have an idea what type of plants to expect in your photos. HINT

I used to have a girl friend down there, oh so many years ago. That brings back neat memories. ;)

When I was growing up in the small village of Brigden, there was a family with your name.’Root’. Any relation?

NOt that I am aware, Iris. Actually, when I moved to Rockwood, there was a family of Root here as well. Absolutely no relation at all, not even way back. I don’t know where they came from. Certainly not the appropriate lineage. ;)
