Not sure how many folk out there are growing African Violets, but thought I might share what I have learned over the 28 years of growing them in this Blog Series. They really are a pretty simple plant to grow indoors once you get the hang of them. I am hoping to track the growth of these three new Violets as well as the two Tea Cup Violets. January, 2009 I convinced Hubby that he needed a break and how he would really like to accompany me to one of my favorite places … a local plant nursery. (After all how much time could one man spend in his workshop with all those tools and lumber??!! LOL!!!!!) Part 3: Cool Containers

Well I found a few cool containers for the new African Violets I purchased on Monday. Still have two more Violets to pot; but ran out of dirt and containers. So the hunt continues. Maybe I will find a few at the Craft Show on Saturday. One never knows where you will find something to repurpose into a plant container!!!

Part 4: $1.25 ... Can't go wrong

Headed up to our local Hardware Store the other day for a few odds and ends. While there I thought maybe, just maybe I could find something “different” to put the remaining two African Violets in that I had purchased last week.
