« Part 16: Candy Lilies are Gorgeous this Morning!!! Part 17 of Grandma's Gardens series Part 18: One Last Gift ... »

Ahhhhh, it’s Saturday. Normally it is a relaxing day; hubby in his favorite place (his woodshop) and me putzing around my yard. As I was tending to my front flower bed and “talking to my flowers” as I watered, weeded and dead-headed; I noticed that Little Grapette (Dwarf Daylily) was “smiling at me” with her big beautiful purple flowers. Yes, she is reblooming. Not quite the size she was earlier this summer, cuz a portion of her went happily home with Dini and her DH. Beautiful none-the-less.

And of course not to be out-done by Little Grapette … my Raspberry colored Ground Cover Roses are reblooming as well. Everyone is sooooooo happy today!!! :-)

Here is a close up of the rose. It is an old fashioned type of rose flower.

My Stella’s never really totally stopped blooming. So I have sunny little spots of sunshine all over the yard!

Nothin’ better than recycling blooms! Twice the color for the same price! Fun!

I know many of you are not “crazy” about the Stella d’ Oro Dwarf Daylily. (posted above) Seems like they are a dime a dozen now. They were a rare thing when I first began to grow them. I find even though they are so common now, they always bring a smile to my face. I love their warm yellow color and can always count on them to bring a bit of “sunshine” all throughout the summer.
