I placed an order for a Dwarf Daylily Collection in February from a catalog that I like. And without getting into real specifics, my order did not arrive until until early June and of course all the daylilies were bare-root. So I just shoved them all in the ground, with no thought to where. I assumed that they would not bloom this summer. With next spring they would have some size on them and at that point I would transplant them all to better and more appropriate locations within my garden.
Well … to my utter surprise, I found buds on two of my “little guys” and have been waiting for a while now to see what color the flowers are. This one is the first to bloom … still waiting on the other one.
I absolutely LOVE this color Orange … and LOL!!! the blooms are bigger than the little plant!!!
Here is the other “little guy”... such a pretty pink and burgundy!! Took a while to bloom, but I think worth the wait!!

Well this morning the other “little guy” showed his colors … so purdy!!! Posted the pic above for your enjoyment. What is nice is these two (and the other three) are supposidly rebloomers, so next summer will be wonderful!! No buds on the other three … but, hey one never knows … :-)
