It has been such fun seeing everyone’s gardens as plants begin to bloom. So thought I might share some pictures of what is just beginning to bloom in my gardens as well.
Dwarf Iris with it’s first bloom. It sits in my front yard garden. First year for growing the dwarf’s.
This is my Rudbeckia Totos. I have a Rudbeckia Prairie Sun planted in the middle of the Totos. With the cold weather a while back, I thought I might loose these little guys. But despite the bit of leaf damage, they are blooming and I think my fears are alleviated.
Here is my narrow Zinnia Garden by the back patio. The Zinnia all have second and third blooms on each plant now. Beginning to spread out nicely.

Thank you Dini, Springwood and Eklectic for your nice comments.
Dini – yes, everything is beginning to fill in nicely … now if it would all just begin to bloom … :-)
Eklectic – I do LOVE my Rudbeckias, especially the dwarf Totos … Anxious to see what actual color the “Prairie Suns” are.
Springwood – I used a Scotts Brand Mulch called Nature Scapes. Color is called Deep Forest Brown.

Your zinnias are so big and healthy GramT.Mine are just getting their second set of leaves on the berm. They are one of my favourite flowers to grow.Dwarf iris are so cute when they come out.The rudbeckia look like they are going to sprout right out too.Very nice.Your chair is looking mighty fine too.

I too really like Zinnias. They come in some many wonderful color combos. I had a hard time picking. Last year I had more of a “diasy” type flower, it didn’t “poof” like these are doing.
My neighbor gave me a clump of the dwarf Iris’ about a month or so ago now. So I split it into three smaller plants. So far this is the only one that is blooming. To be honest I am not much of an Iris fan, but have really thought the “little guys” were pretty. So when the neighbor offered, I jumped at getting the little oens.
And the ol’ chair is doing great. I’ve been having a bit of fun with my back patio baskets, cuz I re-arrange them depending on my moods. Haha, nothing ever stays put for long back there.
