That is my back yard, The bridge spans Bell Branch (Creek) part of the Rouge watershed.
Hawthorn tree on the right, I’ve since added 2 river birch trees. I’ll look for a current photo.

Enjoyed the “tour” of your gardens and yard. You have gorgeous Hosta’s along the house and a really lovely variety of sunflowers!! Beautiful yard there Gary!!

Very nice, GaryCN. Nice woodwork in your garden as well. Beautiful butterfly bush, which obviously has attracted some butterflies. Well done.

It can be a challange sometimes, the creek will rise to the top of the bridge and overflow the river bank past the hawthorne tree, I’ve planted quite a few native wild flowers on the creek banks to prevent erosion. Our lot is 130’ wide X 640’ long. with a steep hill behind the house. The lot backs
ut to a K-4 Elementary School, The school has a large garden used for Science classes.
Also On top of the barn is one of John from Cranbrook’s extreme birdhouses that I built from one of his plans available probably here and at lumberjocks. extremebirdhouse

The Extreme Bird House that you built from John’s plans looks awesome on top of your barn!!! A perfect place for it, in my mind. Did you build the other bird house that is sitting on a pole in the picture you posted earlier on this thread?
