Part 2: Late may bloomers
A few of my flowering plants!I do have wild plants mixt in with the shade plants! Barberry bush in bloom! Primeroses In the shade garden: Saxtile Alyssum et forget-me-not! Bugleweed and ground covering sedum
Part 3: Irises
Talk about an undemanding plant! At least the ones I have!I have some growing in gravel on the side of the driveway, coming from under a log on the side of the weep field, in established flower beds (where they do get a bit more care) and growing wild around the property! I thought their color was a bit off until I saw the wild ones and I find that this year, their colors are a bit paler! Very commune ones: By the driveway: At the edge of the shade garden!!
Part 4: Some of my roses are blooming!
Since we moved here I have had a heck of a hard time with my rose bushes!In Montreal, they would be 6 to 7 feet tall, and be in bloom the whole summer.Here, a few roses and just lose their leaves, and buds and be full of all kinds of bugs :-( This year, I planted garlic all around all the bushes.
Part 5: First time blooming!
These are new plants that I got/started last year at the end of the season!! Honeysuckle vine! Centaurea dealbata /Cornflower spiderwort ???: The 2 orangy color flowers. Not the poppy! Wiglesia ?: ?? I still have a lot of “new” plants to come! Enjoy!
Part 6: My peonies
I have about half a dozen peonies plants! This is the first year where they all have buds! But are not all in bloom yet! So I will start with what is there for now: My favorite: and a close-up of the flowers I have 3 of this one so far! Hope you enjoyed!
Part 7: More flowers!!
Meadow Anemone, Round-leaved Anemone, ... These grow wild around here and in a lot of nurseries they sell them for $15.00 a plant! This one is “strawberry spinach”. It is it’s 3 rd year and doing really well And a few poppies: And this year I have this “brown” poppy! So far 3 plants!!!??

Part 10: Vignettes of my gardens!
Lately, when looking at my gardens, all I could see were the WEEDS!!Between the rain and being otherwise occupied on different projects, I haven’t really done much in them! And over the last few weeks, even to take pictures was a question of time!!! So I wasn’t really enjoying my flower beds at all. Could not see the point of even trying: too much to do everywhere else! Part 14: Night Walk!
Over the last few weeks, as I am taking my last walk of the day with my puppy, I kept wondering about night pictures of some flowers!For a change it wasn’t raining last night so I went back outside with my friendly camera and :
Part 15: Some surprises!! :-)
Balloon flower growing in the “nursery”! Wild morning glories, again in the “nursery”! Will be move on a “burn pile” to hopefully cover it! This one I am sure I planted it, but I do not remember what it is !! I have always had red poppies in this bed and this year this brown one “popped up”! Actually had a few of these!
Part 16: Update on the Hymmalayan!
Hubby is 6 feet tall!! The black dots are bees! And they grow from zone 3 to ???.

Part 18: A few more interesting plants!
Starting with an herb which used to be quite hard to find and rather expensive. People with diabetes or hypoglycemia use it as a sugar substitute. It is now found in a powder form in drugstores and other health related venues! Stevia! 20” tall(The dark green plant) Lemon and lime. It is not edible but does smell like a mix of lemon and lime! about 24”tall!(Tall 2 tones of green) And a few pretty flowers!Scabiosa caucasica Matricaria Ground covering Astilbe
Part 19: New and old plants!
As mentioned by some of you on some of my other blogs, I do have a lots of plants and I thoroughly enjoy watching them all grow as well as sharing with all of you!So, you might have to put up with a few more of these…:-DHope you are not too bored! Rudbeckies In the next two pictures, these 2 sunflowers are growing side by side, on their own. I had one plant last year probably from bird droppings and this year…. And for the Butterfly bushes, it is their first year...
Part 20: Late bloomers!!
This year has not been a very good year for most of my flowers, but I still have some surprises! I planted some hollyhocks from seeds, and for the first time since we moved here the plants grew!:-) and yesterday morning this is what I found: So, I was very happy and decided to look around to see what was going on and then:Just could not believe it!
Part 21: The small pond!
No, I haven’t finished it yet, but the plants are growing like crazy!!!! I went outside after the rain yesterday and took some pics.:-) This is the first Spring for all of the plants! I also have some lettuce growing on the edges!
Part 22: Lupins
I have been taking pictures of my Lupins everyday for the last week! I am in awe every time I look at them!The colors and the sizes just amaze me and they keep growing and expanding!! This was taken last week: A different point of vieuw: And this one this morning: Have a good day!
