This year has not been a very good year for most of my flowers, but I still have some surprises!

I planted some hollyhocks from seeds, and for the first time since we moved here the plants grew!:-) and yesterday morning this is what I found:

So, I was very happy and decided to look around to see what was going on and then:

Just could not believe it!

Just wanted to share..

As I am working in my pergola (my studio) at the back of the house, doing my concrete sculpting, I raised my head and saw how beautiful mother nature is and how lucky I am to be able to see all of this every day and especially today. It is sunny outside, comfortably warm, the bees, the butterfly, the dragonflies all around me going about their different business!

And then I thought about all the people who are not as lucky as I am, who never in their whole life would experience this and then I thought of my friends on GT and decided to share!

The first views are through the mosquito netting:

for these I did step out

As mentioned by some of you on some of my other blogs, I do have a lots of plants and I thoroughly enjoy watching them all grow as well as sharing with all of you!
So, you might have to put up with a few more of these…:-D
Hope you are not too bored!

Rudbeckies

In the next two pictures, these 2 sunflowers are growing side by side, on their own. I had one plant last year probably from bird droppings and this year….

And for the Butterfly bushes, it is their first year blooming! Interesting shapes! Anybody knows if you should trim them?
Butterfly Bush Naho Blue: This one is growing all over the place, it’s branches going at weird angles!

and Butterfly Bush Naho Purple (as per the tag). This one grows like a very thin tree!!!

It is also the first year for this one and it grows in spurts!! Go figure!
Obedient Plant Physostegia “White Queen”
