Today, the first nice sunny day in quite a while, was the perfect day to plant the tomatoes and peppers!
They are planted intermittently as peppers and tomatoes are companions. As well, marigolds all over to keep away pest. On the peripheries of this bed, I will be putting in some more garlic as well as some dill.
All that is left is the mulching: the cardboard is soaking and I went to the Feed store today and got 4 bales of wood shaving. I will need at least 4 more which I will pick up tomorrow!
Over the last few weeks, I managed to seed most of the rest of the vegetables.
I have only the beans, probably 3 different kinds, some lettuce and lots of carrots left to seed.
Oh yes, chard , 2 different ones: the regular one as well as the “Bright Light” which will actually go in some flower beds as it is quite colorful!
So this is a list of what I have growing so far:
Acorn Squash
Dill
Garlic
Grey Zucchinis
Large Bottle Gourd
Luffa Sponge
Onion
Parsley
Pepper Green
Pepper Jalapeño
Pepper Yellow
Potatoes
Rhubarb, Canada Red
Small Fancy Gourds
Spaghetti Squash
Summer Squash
Sunflowers 4 different types
Tomatoes Early Girl
Tomatoes Firm Meaty Fruits
Tomatoes Roma
Tomatoes Sweet 100
Tomatoes Yellow
All the vine types are growing along either the fences or the wood sheds! Should make for an interesting display!
Well, it is raining now and I do not have any pictures!

Wow you have quite the garden
Mine is little but crows are stealing my cukes plants
Then I was told tonite there are bears between my place and the next which there is about 6-7 acres between us all wooded area
I hope I don’t meet any in my yard but we were warned today not have feeders out, keep pets in, keep cars locked and the house which I do anyway 24/7
I haven’t seen any or smelled them and they do stink so we would smell them before seeing them I am sure
