Part 1: Daylilies, 060608
I decided that I’m going to post pictures of the daylilies first blooms throughout the year. Since I’d skipped a day, this is yesterdays first bloom. Isolde Now, some times the first blooms are not the best and may be slightly deformed, like the petal on the first one is halved. It happens on firsts. Just use your imagination on what the whole thing looks like. ;) Anyway, on with the show.
Part 2: Daylilies, 060708 + New Additions
Today in bloom, is nothing less, than a plain old ditch lily. These will be finding their way OUT of the flowerbeds, before they take over and kill us all. These are the new addition clumps that we picked up today, plus some Hosta and one of those plants which has huge, sticky flowers.. The name escapes me at this moment. Clump of iced jade Background, peaches and cream, plus some others. And more.. And more….... The Hosta I picked up. On...
Part 4: Un-named Seedling + Verify Unknown Shrub Plz
Fresh blooming today is a seedling that was deemed not worth sale and was never named / patented. Personally I think it’s rather pretty.. Also blooming today is the unknown shrub I’d posted a while back.. I really don’t think it’s honeysuckle.. It’s not like any I’d ever seen, and the flowers are all wrong. If someone can put a name to it so that it can be verified, that would be great.
Part 5: More Daylilies + Others 061108
Missed posting some yesterday.. I’ve got one from yesterday in this batch but the other has not re-bloomed yet, so will catch a snap of it later. This is one of the butterfly flowers I got in from Spring Hill. The Nandina is blooming nicely along the front walk. I’ve got the lilies in the ground at the front foundation that I’d been working on.. Still have some more plants to put in and need to mulch it up. And lastly, a shot of the Golden...

Well.. You know what they say, better late then never.. Told you it’s a busy time of year.. ;) Cleo Decatur Gleam Some golden Lantana I put beside the dressing room flanking either side of a young Lilac. Darned if the stuff isn’t annual here though.. Lowes tag says it’s evergreen, which I knew was off for this zone. But it’s hardy to only zone 8. Going to cut it back and cover with leaves this winter, see if I can save them that way. Also decided on...

Part 16: Daylilies and New Plantings, 062208
Here are the two new blooms today. Now, THESE are pictures of the blooms on some of the clumps we’d got into the ground. I actually finished planting off that section today. The plants look rough since they’re fresh in the ground and it’s so hot now, plus many are not blooming now, we selected some late bloomers for the bulk of the row. I’d planted 18 or so clumps, averaging 3’ wide in size. Here’s a pick of o...
Part 17: Daylilies, 062508
Missed yesterday, which sucks. There were two new that I’d lost track of. So long as I get the bulk of them though and get these pics IDed I can start cataloging their locations next year, then will just fill in the blanks. Anyway, no clue what these are or if they’re dupes. I’m 90% sure that they’re fresh blooms. It’s getting difficult to keep track. Next year I’ll be twist tying the scapes.
