Well, as I promised I’m posting pics of the new clumps, fresh out of the ground..
I hauled these home in my car. With some creative placement it only took 3 trips.
A trunk full.. I can average 5 clumps in the trunk, 3 in the back seat and one in the front.
The aftermath of the transport.. This is why they make shop-vacs. ;)
All in all, it’s 25-28 clumps.. I lost track, actually.. Grand total? $110.

Oh a man after my own heart!!!! A car full of daylilies and room left only for the driver … a wish come true!!! hahaha!! Man you weren’t kidding when you said HUGE clumps!! But what a deal … all those for only $110.
Gonna be GORGEOUS down your driveway inbetween those shrubs. What a nice “tease” as you drive up your driveway … people are so gonna want to see more of your gardens!!! :-)

lol.. Yeah.. While I was loading the second round, another couple had came in a big red truck to pick up some clumps (all kinds of yellow). I was talking to David about them, said the guy must think me insane, shoving huge clumps into my car.
He laughed and said that the guy was all worried about getting the bed of his truck dirty.. Thought it funny, they were putting the clumps into these wooden baskets and then into the truck..
Nice baskets though, looked like old apple baskets.
Anyway, just thought it funny. I told David that that’s why they make shop-vacs.. It all cleans up in the end.. ;)
Dunno about the critters though.. I should probably open my car doors and trunk for a while so they can crawl out.

Never quite understood owning a truck and being worried about getting it “dirty” ... isn’t that why you buy a truck … to get it dirty (why we have ours!). I guess to each their own …
Before my hubby’s baby (our truck), he drove a Lincoln Towncar … and of course that is when hubby really got into woodworking. We used to get all sorts of “looks” as he was shove/arrange/pack all sorts of boards/wood and the good Lord knows what else into that car … and not just into the trunk either … I spent many a trip home sitting in weird positions in-between all that wood, in the back seat … Ahhhh, those were the days—LOL!!!!
And Scott what were you thinking … you should have grabbed this Granny one of those old Apple Baskets … geesh!!! :-)

Those are lovely just sitting on the ground.
And I’ve done my share of driving surrounded by plants. Try fitting a 12 foot Mountain Ash in a Ford Festiva! (I’m too cheap to pay a $25 delivery fee, haha)

Scott, these are beautiful just where they are sitting! You are one lucky guy to have access to all those goodies!! And at that price, you showed a lot of restrain!!
Try doing it with an Accent!
Plants, lumber, pergola, old windows and doors… In the car, on top of the car, it always made it home!
I always have old blankets/sheets and a shovel in the cars because you never know what you will find or where!!

Yup, if it won’t fit in the car, tie it to the top!

lol.. If I tied them to the top, THEN I think I’d surely turn heads..
Hmmm.. Restraint.. Wife was saying I was nuts for wanting 25 clumps (did try and talk her into 30, she shot it down)... Now she’s saying that it’s not enough..
Keep telling her there’s tons of places for them and to get them if she wants.
Anyway, got a good rain coming this weekend but hoping to get them in the ground Sunday.. Gonna break out the pick axe and go at it..

Couldn’t help laughing at your car Scott. It reminded me of the two boats of flowers at each end of town that we have here.
