Well I had camera problems but today I got it back from repairs and I have put together some photos to show the progress of my side garden from the fall of 07 to summer 08

I am what is called a 'people person', so it would really be my pleasure to have a visit with you, even invite you for a cup a . Gardening is one of my fun things along with quilting. Before moving to the town of Cambridge I had very little space for either so now I can indulge in these favourite pastimes. Quilting in the winter and gardening in the spring by indoor sowing and of course the summer in the several garden beds. I have one large bed at the back of my backyard, a center one, two more on either side of our back deck and still another underneath a window of the lower floor. then there are two long ones on both sides of the house running the full length of the house. Two more at the front of the house next to the house and the final one at the front and to the side of the house. I think that is 10. What was I thinking of. I'm nearly 68 yrs. old. Yicks LOL

What an absolutely GORGEOUS garden and yard Dahlista!!!! All your hard work has certainly paid off!!!Bet this yard just makes you smile!!!

Love your Rose Trees. Mine are struggling a little this year, not sure why as the ground cover roses are “going crazy”. You certainly have a “green thumb”!!!

I have more pictures to post on the back yard which is my favourite but it has been such a delight to see it grow. Certainly dont consider myselff to have a green thumb as I make lots of blunders…any knowledge I have I have rooted up from the internet. I am going to change the position of my rose trees as I see now that they are too close to the house. Still dont know how to deal with rabbits, squirrels and insects although I did a bit better this year with the squirrels (combination of plastic owl and daffodils)

Yes, I remember pics from your backyard last year and they were lovely. Can’t wait to see this year’s!!!! And hey we all make blunders … and I think most of us still are – LOL!!! I know I am!!! How we learn.

Squirrels I think are a never-ending battle and rabbits, I just use my Pepper Spray consistently and they stay away. Certainly don’t want to kill them. I have a wild female who lives in our back yard under my hedges and bushes … she has gotten quite brave around me. As she will come out and be in the yard when I am in my swing. Me with my tea, her munching grass, weeds or whatever (as long as it is NOT my flowers – haha!! Simple pleasures are the best. :-)
