My Garden 2008-- the beginning #5: The garden is up and looks healthy.

As mentioned I am an ardent composter and have a treasure trove of black nutritious compost that dates back about 20 years. Each year I manage to turn part of it and add new stuff to the pile.These photos show my tomatoes growing in this material and the first flush of fruit is about the size of marbles.I expect to have about 500 sweet 100’s from each container over the summer.I finished filling the other container with the banana potatoes with compost so now we wait for flowering and the yield. It will be interesting to see how much we get from this restricted space. The flowers this year although growing are not my best work. Bob
