Overall I feel it was good value for the cost and my time as a beginner gardener. You could easily learn what I did and more for free if you spent the time on the internet researching and participating in forms like this one. Although I find it good to learn in a classroom setting as you have some structure to what you are learning and it was also nice to meet other people in my city who have the same interest. The classes were all taught by volunteers and they did a good job. If you really wanted to learn more on the subjects we touched on you would have to take a horticultural course.
