The grow lights have over 50 heirloom tomato plants with 7 different varieties.They are Amish Paste,Julia Child,Super Snow White,Black Brandywine,Orange/Banana,Aunt Madges Cherry and Yellow Cherry.I also have just starting to peek out some zucchini and green climbing beans.Also there are trays of many different perennial and annual flowers.The sunroom has a lot of annual and perennial flower seedlings and most of my tubers and bulbs started. March 7, 2010 My goal with my winter sowing was to grow some really good onions this year. At the time of planting, I only had a package of seeds for last year. I put some seeds in the winter sowing jug and some, a while ago, indoors in a tray. Last week I also planted some onion seeds that I received from an order placed this year. Overnight, this new batch popped up. Success! However, that means that my first plantings are a “no go”—and thus the winter sowing batch ...

Finally got the first grass cutting in today. I love cutting the grass, nothing makes a yard look tidier than freshly cut grass. I planted three new peony trees today. Does anyone else grow peony trees? One of my older trees has shoots (suckers) coming up from the roots. I wonder if you are suppose to remove these, as the tree is grafted onto hardier roots. Also spent some time digging dandelions out of the flower beds. And moving afew perennials around, and checking ‘spots̵...

As many of you know…I am just starting my first indoor set up. I have shelving together, buying the lights in the next couple days, have half of my seeds, and will buying other various supplies this weekend. I thought I had it all under control, but I am feeling nervous and like what I thought I knew, may not be right.
