Okay, tricked ya, this is nothing like MsDeb’s postings. We live in the middle of suburbia, shessh. But I suppose we do get the occasional raccoon stealing the cat food, and a squirrel now and then, plus I’ve seen rabbits in the front yard, and voles in the garage. And we do live right across the street from a very nice, large park/playground, that has a small creek running through it, a causeway for the skunks and their ilk. You might consider this post a bit of a clumsy tribute to Andy Rooney….. A few years ago, after I started trying to increase the organic care of my yard, we had an explosion in the total toad population in the yard. Big Yellow Dragonfly #1: Sept 21/09

While doing the gardens at a B&B in Cobourg on the 19th this yellow dragonfly waited patiently on this plant until I went and got my camera and proceeded to take some pics of it.It let me get really close and never even moved.It was about 8” long with about a 6” wing span.There was also a lot of small blue ones and small red ones flying around.
