Moon Beam or Tagar

In my blog on Addition to my terrace garden(3) I have described Srilankan Tagar or Moon beam flower. Recently I added a local variety of this plant to my garden as it flowers profusely and is true to its name moon beam. It is also known as Crape Jasmine or Pinwheel. Big Beetle

While working late in the evening on my terrace garden my attention was drawn to a strange sound. I found that a big Beetle had landed on my terrace and was looking very fearful. I wanted to capture it on my camera which I did not have at that time. The insect was not steady and could have flown off anytime. Texas natives #6: Good Guys or Bad Guys?

I checked my salvia last weekend. They are growing very well, finished blooming (at least for right now) and have produced plenty of seeds.One thing I noticed though are lots of green and brown insects that seem to enjoy sitting on the salvia. I inspected the salvia closely and could not find any insect damage. All these guys seem to do is to hang around and enjoy life. So, what do you think, good guys or bad guys?
