Speaking of slugs in an earlier forum I thought about our damp climate and all the slugs we have here. The biggest problem with slugs is the shaded areas.
Anyway, I thought back to our first home when DH’s grandmother lived with us. One day while tending the veggies she told me she had a magic of sorts…That if she sang a song to a slug it would curl up and die..I laughed but then she proceeded to show me her magic trick.

When we moved into our new home I quickly realized that we may have bought this land but we were not the owners. I had plunked my house in natures habitat. This is why it is important to me to have a natural habitat for the critters that called this place home before I invaded.

After three years of toiling to get a lush green biodiverse garden created on my residential infill lot, I was standing back looking around and out from my rock wall peeked such a lovely site…A little frog. We are not near water nor do I have a pond on my property. We have since received several visits from frogs in our garden…Not a common site here anymore.
